Orange Thunder, FRC team 2879 is the St. Louis Park High School’s robotics team. Our missions are to provide hands-on, professional experience in STEM fields, as well as in business and public relations. We strive to educate our members through a student-led, mentor-guided, high school robotics team, to prepare them to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and leaders. We participate in FIRST competitions so members can develop professional skills, problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and creative minds.

Last year we had our robot completely built prior to our competition for the first time. This year our goal is to build not only 1 robot but 2. The first will be packaged up early and sent off to wait for competition, the second will be left with us so we can practice our task and make modifications. This goal is going to be quite taxing to our budget, so we are asking our community members and businesses as well as others to please help us out.

We are seeking not only donations but skilled mentors. If interested please go to our website https://frc2879.com/sponsors/sponsor-us/ for more information or email us team@frc2879.com
